    ATB supports the UNWTO Global Code of Ethics for Tourism which highlights the “decisive and central” role of UNWTO, as recognized by the General Assembly of the United Nations, in promoting and developing tourism with a view to contributing to economic development, international understanding, peace, prosperity, and universal respect for, and observance of human rights, and fundamental freedoms for all without distinction and without any form of discriminations.
  • The  Board provides leadership and counsel on an individual and collective basis to its member organizations.
  • The African Tourism Board provides an effective platform for both the public and private sector to engage and reach out.

The African Tourism and Convention Marketing Corporation is an independent entity based in the United States to assist African Tourism Board Members with PR & Marketing in non-African Source Markets.

ATB appointed tourism Offices operated by approved partners located in:

  • Tel Aviv Israel
  • London, UK
  • Rome, Italy

African Tourism and Convention Marketing provides:

  • Access to ATB Tourism Offices 
  • Global and Regional PR & Marketing plans
  • Access to the ATB Friends of the Press Network
  • Trade Show Participation and Representation
  • Crisis Communication in Cooperation with the Safer Tourism Rapid Response Team
  • Access to Global Rescue programs
  • Evaluates and works with partners that can provide services to ATB members such as research, advertising, training, and event planning.
  • Safety and Security Training with Safer Tourism and other partners.
  • Branding

MARKETING PLAN

  • Access to African Tourism and Convention Marketing services (additional project fees may apply)
  • Your contact details are available and shared with potential clients or visitors at ATB tourism offices worldwide.
  • An enhanced listing with links on the new African Tourism Board information portal for tourists.

Observers is reserved for the public sector and approved entities to allow immediate access to Public Sector Benefits while going through necessary approval procedures to become a full member.

Observer membership is free until internal approval and procurement is concluded to join as a full member.

Non Profit & Charities

Reserved for qualified associations, universities  and charities.

Reserved for responsible tourism initiative, cultural organizations, operating on a non -profit bases and are not selling travel services.

All non-profit members should be able to raise awareness and support tourism projects for Africa.

Travel Agents

For travel agents and  individual members in the travel and tourism industry outside Africa interested in generating sales for Africa.

Qualified buyers will be invited to network events, training, seminars and virtual conferences.

Buyers  may be invited to trade shows and fam trips.

Individual

Individuals observer

Press

Journalists and publications with a track record writing about Africa Tourism.

Journalists will be invited to events, press-conferences and recommended to hosted press- trips.

Option to be also listed as a member with a full profile on the ATB directory.

Press wanted to promote or sell services MUST join as corporate members.

Journalists are invited to attend and report on ATB events and activities.
